: This study obtained human research ethics approval from the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HREC/2022/QTHS/85173), and reciprocal approval from Northern Territory Health (2022-4389), Queensland University of Technology (5963) and James Cook University (H8829). Each participant consented prior to taking part in interviews and focus groups.

Queensland Health appointed James Cook University and Queensland University of Technology health systems researchers S.L. and S.M. to conduct an independent evaluation of the Australian Teletrial Program under a service agreement.
