: The ethical approval for the study was granted by the University of Cape Town Research Ethics Committee (reference number: REC 2022/12/008). The study met the ethical standards of informed consent and voluntary participants. The participants were provided with the study information sheet before the interviews and allowed to read through and ask questions before consenting to participation. This approach (of sending the information sheet and consent forms to the participants) worked well because all of the participants were working in universities, were over 18 years old and could read and thus provide consent. During the interviews, we also reiterated that the study was voluntary and that the participants were free to drop out at any time without giving a reason. We also clarified that if the participant decided to drop out, only they could decide if we could use the already collected data in our study.
