: The study was conducted as part of FONIS project SA15|20311 and was approved by the Ethics Committee of Universidad del Desarrollo. All ethical aspects related to research in human beings were protected. The protocols and instruments for the application of the EQ-5D questionnaire in the STI clinic were also approved by the Ethics Committee of Servicio de Salud Metropolitano Sur Oriente, Chile.
