: The study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. Ethics approval to undertake the study was obtained from the Institutional Ethics Committee of Seth GS Medical College and K.E.M Hospital, Mumbai (Ethics No: EC/OA-68/2022) and Terna Specialty Hospital and Research Center, Navi Mumbai (TMCHRC/SURG/2023/IEC). Administrative approvals to collect data were also obtained from concerned authorities of the respective study hospitals. After explaining the purpose of the study, written informed consent was obtained from the participants or their next-of-kin, if they were unable to consent due to neurotrauma. Written consent was obtained from them once they were able to do so.
