: The study obtained ethics approval from the Ghana Health Service Ethics Review Committee (GHS-ERC 027/11/22). The Review Committee offers ethical approval in accordance with the Helsinki Declaration. Informed consents were also sought from the Regional Director of Health Services, the Metropolitan Director of Health Service, the Medical Director of Greater Accra Regional Hospital and Heads of the various specialty units used in the study. There were minimal ethical issues of the clients ‘confidentiality since this study dealt with service cost in the health facilities. We nonetheless ensured anonymity of specialties during the data collection and analysis stages of the study.
