: All animal experiments were approved by the Austin Health Animal Ethics Committee (A2016_05347 and A2019_05620) prior to commencement of experiments. Ethics approval allowed for primary tumor volumes up to 1,500 mm3 if the mice were still in good health, but they needed to be humanely killed at first signs of ill-health. For the experiments described in this study, the maximum tumor volume reached was less than 1,500 mm3, since we resected tumors at ~ 400 mm3.
