: All in vivo experiments were carried out in strict accordance with the guidelines described in the EU Directive 2010/63/EU for animal experimentation, including the “three R’s” rule, and every effort was made to minimize suffering. The protocols were approved by the Committee on the Ethics of Animal Experimentation of the University of Salamanca and the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, and Rural Development, Regional Government of Castilla y León, Spain (project reference: 1097). The animals were monitored daily after the injection of tumor cells to detect any potential alterations in their well-being. No alterations in animal behavior, including mobility, activity, or weight loss, were observed in any of the cases.
