: Human biospecimens ethics statementThe collection of de-identified residual adipose material from patients that had undergone a liposuction procedure for orthopedic purposes was considered nonhuman subjects research with approval from the Mayo Clinic Biospecimens Review Group (ID: 17-010290), as previously described. 27 The collection of de-identified adipose material from patients that had undergone a vascular surgery procedure was approved by the Mayo Clinic Institutional Review Board (IRB: 21-006334); the study conformed to the principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki and informed and written consent was obtained from all patients.Animal care ethics statement In vivo mouse experiments were completed in accordance with recommendations in the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals of the National Institutes of Health and with approval from the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) at Mayo Clinic for all procedures (IACUC Protocol A00003748-18-R21).
