: The PODESA study has been approved by the Danish Data Protection Agency (Journal number 2013–10-11/104); this approval includes the use of register data. The DPhacto study was approved by the Danish Data Protection Agency and local Ethics Committee (Journal number H-2–2012-011) (26). The NOMAD study was approved by the Ethics Committee for the Capital Region of Denmark (Journal number H-2–2011-047) (23). Both studies were conducted in accordance with the Helsinki Declaration and data were anonymized in relation to individuals and workplace. Eligible workers, who were interested in participating, received written and oral information about the project and provided their written informed consent to participate in the study and the use of data for research studies.
