: Pieces of cervical tracheae were collected from patients at Kyoto University Hospital under the authorization of the Ethics Committee of the Kyoto University Graduate School and Faculty of Medicine (R1204-2). All procedures were performed in accordance with the institutional guidelines of Kyoto University Hospital. Written informed consent was obtained from all participants in this study. All animal experiments were a priori approved by the Animal Care and Use Committee of Kyoto University (Med Kyo 19131), and practiced in accordance with the Institutional Guidelines for Animal Experiments. Animal care was provided by the Institute of Laboratory Animals at Kyoto University.
