: Liver tissue was obtained from four donors (donation after brain death) in accordance with protocols approved by the Medical Ethical Committee of the Erasmus MC – University Medical Center Rotterdam (approval number: MEC-2014-060). Tissue procurement and use were performed in compliance with national regulations and institutional guidelines and written informed consent was obtained for use of donor liver biopsies for research purposes.
