Ethics approval: All procedures involving animals were performed in compliance with EU Directive 2010/63/EU on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes and procedures were approved by RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences’ Research Ethics Committee (REC 1587), and under license from the Ireland Health Products Regulatory Authority (AE19127/P083). Mice were housed at controlled conditions including a room temperature (20–25 °C), and humidity (40%–60%), on a 12 h dark-light cycle with ad libitum access to water and food.
