: Permission was obtained from the authors of the pGALS (Prof Helen Foster, Newcastle University, UK) to translate and validate the Kiswahili-pGALS and ethical approval to conduct this study was obtained from the Aga Khan University Institutional Research and Ethics Committee (reference <i>2018</i><i>/REC</i><b><i>-</i></b><i>106(vl)</i>.
