: This study was reviewed and approved by the University of Alberta’s Health Research Ethics Board (Pro00078429).The need for consent was waived due to data being extracted from an established, anonymized database. The Research in Arthritis in Canadian Children emphasizing Outcomes (ReACCH-Out) database will be accessed with permission. This database contains cohort data for children newly diagnosed with JIA from 2005–2010 who were followed for up to 5 years. The data belongs to the Canadian Alliance of Paediatric Rheumatology Investigators and appropriate approval has been attained for access.
