Ethics approval and consent to participate
: As this project includes biological sample collection (saliva) and analysis, written (Hindi or English) or with thumb impression (if illiterate) informed consent will be taken from each recruited pregnant mother both at study entry and the time of saliva sample collection. All the ethical approval were obtained from both MAMTA Health Institute for Mother and Child (MAMTA-HIMC) Ethical Review Board (MERB/Dec-2016/002) and the Institutional Review Board of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Science (MGIMS/IEC/OBGY/289/2016) prior to any recruitment. Each participant will be given a unique ID, to pseudo-anonymise data collected for the research purposes.
