: This research study was conducted after getting ethical approval from both Western University Research Ethics Board (ID:119527) and the University of Rwanda, College of Medicine and Health Sciences Institutional Review Board (Approval Notice: No 303/CMHS IRB/2021). During a review by both ethical review boards, it was assured that the research protocol met ethical standards for protecting human subjects, and all methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations. Research team members made sure that the research design minimized harm to participants, obtained informed consent and assent from participants, maintained confidentiality and anonymity, and allowed participants to withdraw from the study at any time. Due to the sensitive nature of adolescent pregnancy and the vulnerable nature of adolescents, the research team was prepared to respond to any social needs that may arise during this study process. Following the FGD, each participant was provided with detailed information on possible emotional reactions that could result from participating in study-related activities as well as potential follow-up interventions and contact information to service providers who might be able to assist in addressing any challenges they may encounter.
