: The study was approved by the University for Development Studies Institutional Review Committee on Research (UDS/RB/195/24) and permission was sought from the West Gonja Municipal Health Directorate. All respondents provided informed consent prior to the questionnaire administration. Respondents offered their time and effort and were not rewarded in any way for participating in the study. All COVID-19 safety precautions were duly followed, and respondents were isolated in a safe space for data collection. They were made aware of the importance of the study and their willingness to decline at any point in time during the study. They were assured of strict anonymity and confidentiality. Enumerators employed in the study were healthcare professionals within the municipality who rendered healthcare services to respondents, thus boosting trust during the data collection process. After the data collection process, respondents were educated on COVID-19, COVID-19 vaccine and other COVID-19 safety measures. The study was performed in accordance with the ethical standards as laid down in the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards.
