: This study demonstrates the important link between good maternal health and the healthy growth of their children. Important associations with underweight children were identified, such as receiving supplementary nutrition during pregnancy and lack of postnatal doctor visits. These associations can guide health care planners in their efforts to ensure that children experience healthy growth.
