The letter obtained for ethical approval to conduct this study is attached here. The study was conducted with the approval of local health administrative authorities. The study participants were given an information sheet and asked to fill out a consent form (in their own language—Tamil, Sinhala or English) prior to engaging in the study to ensure their voluntary participation.
