: This study received ethical approval from Research and Ethics Committee at the Department of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, Kandahar University (103–10/10/2025). Administrative approval and permission were obtained from the authorities of Cure Tertiary Hospital. As this was a retrospective and utilized fully anonymized patient data, the research committee at department of Public health, Kandahar University waived the requirement for obtaining informed consent. Data confidentiality was maintained throughout the study. All patient files were de-identified and assigned study codes. Data were kept on a password-protected laptop. Data will be kept for 5 years after the study report is published, after which all data will be destroyed. Moreover, all procedures were carried out in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. As we used secondary data, the obtaining of informed consent was waived by the Ethics Committee.
