: Prior to the commencement of the study, ethical approval was sought and obtained from the ethical review committee of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria with ethical number FUTA/ETH/23/136. All procedures performed in this study involving human participants were conducted in accordance with the ethical standards of the institutional and national research committees and with Helsinki declaration. During the study, advocacy visits were paid to coordinators of basic health centres, Officers in Charge (OICs) and the Chief Medical Directors (CMD) of various health centres and hospitals within Ondo State where the research was conducted. During the period of samples collection, it was ensured that all ethical principles were strictly adhered to so as to ensure that the research was conducted responsibly and respect the rights and wellbeing of the participants.
