The principles of non-maleficence, anonymity and confidentiality were given prominence in this study. Ethical clearance and protocols were approved by the University of Cape Coast with approval number (UCCIRB/CHLRB/2019/09). Also, permission was sought from the municipal health directorate. All community entry protocols were critically followed with the approval letter.
