: The National Physical Activity and Sports Survey 2024 (Tender ID: 799595-2-LQ24) was reviewed, validated, and approved by an Ethics Committee composed of Ana Farías Antognini (Chair), Karina Retamal, and Fabian Pressacco. The Committee determined that the study complied with all fundamental ethical, technical, and professional standards, ensuring the protection of the rights, safety, and well-being of the participants. Informed consent was obtained from all participants on a free, voluntary, and non-coercive basis, using clear and simple language. For adults aged 18 years and older, an oral consent protocol was applied, detailing the objectives of the survey, the voluntary nature of participation, and data confidentiality. For minors (participants aged 5 years and older), age-appropriate assent procedures were implemented in addition to parental or legal guardian consent. To protect privacy and build trust, the national identification number (RUT) was not required as a mandatory field in the consent documents.
: The Ethics Committee explicitly validated and approved the use of the collected data for the generation of academic articles and derived research studies. Throughout the process, the confidentiality of the information provided by participants was guaranteed, ensuring that all analyses and dissemination of results adhered to ethical protocols for the protection of identity.
