: The Institute of Biology, Biotechnology and Environmental Protection obtained approval from the District Veterinary Officer in Katowice – Poland (PIW.ZOZ.OZ.5342.5.1/17). The brown anole is not included in the Washington Convention of 1973 (Guidelines for appropriate uses of IUCN red list), which was ratified by Poland in 1991 (Journal of Laws, No. 27 item 112 and latest regulations of Journal of Laws, 2000 No. 66 item 802 and Journal of Laws, 2004 No. 112 item 1183). The research were performed in accordance with Directive 2010/63/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 September 2010 on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes and the Act of 15 January 2015 on the protection of animals used for scientific or educational purposes (Journal of Laws 2015 item 266).
