: The focal species of this study is not under protection. No Permission or approval from the Ethics Commission was required. All field data was collected without handling of spiders. Spiders in captivity were housed appropriately and using natural enrichment structures. No individual was harmed, impaired, or killed in the context of this study and all remaining spiders in captivity will be released back to the capture location in spring 2021.
