: Experiments were performed in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the guidelines of the Belgian Data Protection Authority (DPA). Under these regulatory frameworks, types of conditions that apply to this study did not require formal ethics review. All MPXV-related work was conducted in the high-containment BSL3 facilities of the KU Leuven Rega Institute under the official permit with reference number AMV/02062020/S88219.2020/0221, and according to the institutional guidelines.
