Ethics approval and consent to participate

: Whole section cuts of FFPE tumor tissue of 14 surgically resected lung adenocarcinoma patients of the University Hospital Zurich were used in this study. The Ethical Commission of the Canton of Zurich approved the study under reference number KEK ZH-Nr. 29–2009/14. Informed consent was not required given the retrospective nature of the study and the use of de-identified data.
