Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Human research ethics approval was obtained from the Human Research Ethics Committee of the Northern Territory Department of Health and Menzies School of Health Research (HREC 2017-2813: The Soap Tree and other medicinal washes: using traditional medicinal plants to improve hygiene and decrease the prevalence of childhood infections in remote Aboriginal communities). All participants in the research signed consent forms after being informed on the nature of the project.
: Informed consent was obtained from all research participants to share their knowledge, ideas, and perspectives on the use of medicinal plants as well as audio-video recordings where required. Signed consent forms are held at Menzies School of Health Research. Personal details of research participants unnecessary to the project outcomes have not been published to protect their identity.
