: The present research was conducted in the framework of an interdisciplinary study on medicinal plant use among Congolese communities in Belgium and DRC which received approval from the Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences (2019–26). The study design followed the ethical guidelines of American Anthropological Association [ ] and the International Society of Ethnobiology Code of ethics [ ]. Educated informed consent to participate and to publish was obtained from all participants and all data collection was carried out with clarity of objectives.
