: The study protocol and all experimental procedures were formally approved by the Institutional Review Board (Ethics Committee) of the University of Gujrat (Reference No. BOT/2143/25). Prior Informed Consent (PIC) was obtained from all the participants and respect given to their cultural values and traditional knowledge with the ethical principles outlined by the International Society for Ethnobiology (http://www.ethnobiology.net) before the interviews were conducted. Furthermore, the experimental protocols, including the collection and harvesting of wild plant specimens for herbarium and research purposes, were approved by the Head of the District Agriculture and Extension Department (Reference No. AGR/GUJ/11/2025).
