: Ethics approval for the study has been obtained from the St Vincent’s Hospital Human Research Ethics Committee (2021/ETH12064). A waiver of individual patient consent has been granted by the Human Research Ethics Committee as this study is considered a part of hospitals quality improvement activities in improving the standard of stroke patient care. Local governance/site-specific approval will be obtained for participating hospitals as required. The trial will be governed by a steering committee consisting of independent researchers, stroke clinicians, consumers and the project investigators.
