: This study protocol was approved by the Ethics Committee of The First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University before data collection and analysis (Approval No. 240301-78). The research adhered to the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki, and informed consent was obtained from all patients for PLIF or UBE-PLIF surgery. The use of VAS, ODI, SF-36 and modified MacNab in this study was authorized by their respective developers. As this investigation is not a prospective clinical study assessing health outcomes, a clinical trial number is not applicable.
