: Patients enrolled in the UK Gaucherite study who contributed data were consented using standard informed written and verbal consent procedures, the study underwent ethical review by the UK Ethics committee (Essex; REC ref 14/EE/1168) and Good Clinical Practice was observed throughout. Swedish patients contributed data under an equivalent process and the declaration of Helsinki underlines the principles of all the research data contained.
