: There were two main elements to this review of the RTT clinic. First was a retrospective case note review by the clinical team. Second was a medical student project that involved contacting families to obtain feedback from carers. Both elements were classified as service evaluations so that, under the rules of practice of the NHS Wales, they did not require research ethics review. The latter element was also classified as a student project and approved as such through Cardiff University School of Medicine. During COVID-19, when this project was started, the NHS Wales research ethics committees were only assessing COVID-related proposals so no research ethics committee documentation is available.
