: A retrospective study of HR HPVs in the cervical tissues of women with high grade cervical lesions and cervical carcinomas diagnosed at the Paul Stradins University hospital was performed according to the ethical permit issued by the Ethical Committee of the Riga Stradins University N2-PĒK-4/415/2022 dated September 26, 2022. Informed consents to use biological materials in biomedical research were given by patients at the time of sampling. Experiments in the laboratory mice were carried out in compliance with the bioethical principles adopted by the European Convention for the Protection of Vertebrate Animals Used for Experimental and Other Scientific Purposes (Strasbourg, 1986). Experimental procedures were approved by the Ethical Committee of the Latvian Food and Veterinary service (protocol nr 1.1–13/18/953), permit No 99 dated June 1, 2018, valid 01.06.2018–25.05.2023.
