Ethics approval and consent to participate

: Experimental protocols were approved by the University Animal Care Committee and procedures were performed in accordance with the requirements of the Guide to the Care and Use of Experimental Animals (Canadian Council on Animal Care, 1993). In the case of the European study all procedures were approved by a Committee for Animal Experimentation according to the principles of the European Union and Polish Law on Animal Protection (Directive 2010/63/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council; Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. Dz. U. 2006 No. 50 item 368).
