: The reindeer were slaughtered for regular human consumption and not for the purpose of this study. Blood samples were collected during bleeding of the reindeer at slaughter, as part of the slaughter procedures. The study was conducted to support general health surveillance of the herds, and the study was thus not classified as an animal experiment.
