: Advance approval for this study was received from the Research and Ethics Review Committee of the Ministry of Health of the Federal Government of Somalia (Reference No. MOH&HS/DGO/1029/July/2018) and from the ethics review boards of the Somali Disaster Resilience Institute (EB# E504–2018) and The Hospital for Sick Children (REB# 1000058583). Consent to participate was sought from each key informant, with oral consent provided by participants interviewed via Skype and written consent confirmed by signature from participants interviewed in person. All participants also agreed to have the interviews audio-recorded.
