The study was approved by the Regional Ethical Review Board in Umeå, dep for medical research, (Regionala etikprövningsnämnden i Umeå avdelningen för medicinsk forskning); EPN 2015/186 − 31 and EPN 2016/502 − 32. In Sweden, the Regional ethical boards used to be a part of the faculty of medicine of the regional University until 2004.
