: Healthy subjects study protocol was approved by an ethics committee (Comité de Protection des Personnes - Île de France II on 5 November 2018) and was registered in the ClinicalTrials.gov registry under number NCT03753386 before inclusion of the first participant.Participants with COPD were recorded over a period of eight hours in a purely observational manner. This study was approved by the Institutional Review Board of the French speaking society for respiratory medicine - Société de Pneumologie de Langue Française - and patients provided signed consent.
