: Human ALS and matched control spinal cord tissues were obtained as de-identified specimen from the Department of Veteran’s Affairs Biorepository, USA. Studies on human tissues were conducted in accordance with the ethics board standards at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs and the institutional review boards at the Houston Methodist Research Institute (Houston, Texas).
