: Ascitic fluids samples were obtained with the written consent of HG-SOC patients undergoing surgery for ovarian tumour at the Gynecological Oncology of IRCCS, Regina Elena National Cancer Institute of Rome. The study protocol for ascites collection and clinical information was approved by the Regina Elena Cancer Institute review board. All protocols involving human specimens are compliant with all relevant ethical regulations. Procedures involving animals and their care were conducted with the permission from the IRCCS Regina Elena Cancer Institute Animal Care and Use Committee and the Italian Ministry of Health (D.lgs 26/2014, authorization number 1083/2020PR, issued 5 November 2020 by Ministero della Salute).
