: The use of ovarian tissue in research was approved by the Stockholm Region Ethical Review Board (license number 2024-08606-01). Clinicians informed the patients about the study, and ovarian tissue was collected from patients undergoing gender-affirming surgeries after written and signed informed consent. Samples were pseudonymised and personal information was managed in compliance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
