Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The Danish Data Protection Agency approved this study (PHV-2014-006). We applied for ethical approval from the Danish Council of Ethics (DNVK 1211665). However, approval was not needed as this was a retrospective study without interventions. All recordings were secured to allow access only to investigators. The names of the medical dispatchers were anonymized for all others than the researchers doing the interviews. It was voluntary to participate. Faces of individuals on the recordings were blurred to prevent identification. Any identifying data for victims and callers were deleted.
