The intellectual property underlying the invention is own by Transfertech Sherbrooke and two patents are currently under review: ‘’System for simulating cervical spine motions”: Canada: CA3117086A1, USA: 20210192977A1, Europe (EPO): EP3698345A4 and ‘’System for simulating thoracic cage and lumbar spine region” PCT/CA2022/050635. As of May 2022, authors Boissy, P. and Hamel, M., are in the process of launching a start-up to license the technology from TransferTech, Sherbrooke and try to commercialize the technology. Shareholding, position in the company and position on the executive board are expected at later stages.
