: The Regional Committee for Medical and Health Research Ethics West (REK sør-øst A, ref. No. 28970) waived the requirement for formal review because according to state law, quality improvement projects do not need this, and had no objections to publication of the data. The Data Protection Authority (PVO) at Haukeland University Hospital approved the project. Informed consent was not required, as this was considered trauma system quality assessment.
