: Since, this study used secondary data or children medical records, the need for informed consent and ethical approval was waived by Institutional Review Board of the University of Gondar, College of Medicine and Health Sciences on behalf of the Ethical Review Committee of the School of Nursing (Ref.no SN/228/2014). A written permission letter was obtained from Amhara Public Health Institute for each Hospital (Ref.no APHI/03/1438). Finally, before collecting the data, a letter of permission to collect the data was obtained from the respective Comprehensive Specialized Hospital administrators to collect the data from each ART clinic. At the time of abstraction, personal identifiers (name and contact numbers) were excluded. The data were kept strictly confidential and used only for study purposes. All of the procedures were carried out by considering the Declaration of Helsinki.
