: Processing of personally identifiable data for the purposes of service evaluation, audit and research was approved by the Patient Information Advisory Group (now the Health Research Authority Confidentiality Advisory Group) in 2002 under Section 60 of the Health and Social Care Act (subsequently Section 251 of the National Health Service Act 2006) (reference: PIAG 4-07(c) 2002).
