: The collection of human samples within IBIS has been declared to the French Ministry of Health (Programme de recherche “Immunologie”, DC2014-2206, authorization renewed DC-2017-2987) and was approved by the Comité de Protection des Personnes Ouest IV (7/04/2015 and 08/10/2020, number clinicaltrial.gov NCT02003196). The CERAR (Ethics Committee for Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Research) approved this secondary analysis protocol under the reference number IRB 00010254 – 2020 - 041. The PREV-HAP study protocol was approved by the Ouest II Angers (France) Ethics Committee in March 2021. All patients or their legal representatives consented to the use of data and samples for this study, as appropriate under national legislation.
