Ethics approval
: All animal studies were approved by the CEEA Nord - Pas de Calais n°75 Ethics Committee for Animal Experiments. Female mice (age-matched, between 6 and 8 weeks old) homozygous for SCID were used for grafting studies. Regarding human breast tumors, all patients cared for in our institution before 2007 were informed that their tumor samples might be used for scientific purposes and had the opportunity to decline. Since 2007, patients treated in our institution have given their approval by signed informed consent. This study was approved by the local ethics committee (Breast Group of Curie Institute - René Huguenin Hospital).
